Montgomery Locals 2.5.2020

By Staff | Feb 5, 2020

The Montgomery Area Public Library has offered a host of new programs in the last few years, and have announced that they will have not one, but two, Love Your Library Open House events.

The Open Houses allow people to come in and see how the library has added a variety of services and programs but still retains all of the core benefits that we grew up with and have enjoyed throughout our lives. There will be stations that show what the library can do for individuals of all ages in the community. Light refreshments will be served. Children who attend the Open House will receive a free goodie bag and will get an entry for a bike raffle. Elementary students who sign up for a library card for the first time will be eligible for a visit with Miss Nicole at Montgomery Elementary School. Adults who attend will get a free magnet and bookmark.

I encourage everyone to attend one of these two events. If you’re not already an avid fan of the library, you will be when you learn about all of the fun and educational events the library has for people of all ages and interests! The first Open House will be Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m.-noon, and the second will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6-8 p.m.
