Hughesville Area Locals
Spring means outdoor sports to many people, and to some Hughesville and Picture Rocks players, it specifically means Bocce. The East Lycoming George A. Callenberger Bocce League kicks off its season with a luncheon at the United Methodist Church in Clarkstown on Friday, April 3 at noon. Reservations for the luncheon, as well as a small cost, are required by calling the contacts listed below.
Always looking for new players, the league encourages anyone who would like more information to come to the luncheon and meet some players. The season begins on Tuesday, May 5, for Hughesville and Thursday, May 7 for Picture Rocks. The Hughesville teams use Bodine Park for its games and Picture Rocks plays at Van Renesselaer Park.
To call for information, express interest in playing and/or to make a reservation for the luncheon, contact the Hughesville representative, Shirley Crawley, 570-584-2354, or Picture Rocks representative Kathy Fought at 570-584-3742.
