Muncy area locals 5.13.2020
May 8 was the initial reopening of some businesses during the yellow phase of COVID-19 guidelines. Remaining closed are fitness and gyms, massage therapy, hair salons and barbershops. The Lycoming Mall did not reopen as previously anticipated because authorities deemed mall businesses as “indoor recreation,” unless a store has a separate outdoor entrance; Dick’s Sporting Goods and BAM! book store are open; Burlington Coat Factory is not. Many restaurants and establishments are welcoming customers by offering take-out and curbside service. As of Sunday Lycoming County has had 131 positive cases to date, up four from Saturday. PA is reporting 62 residents and 10 staff cases in three nursing/personal care homes in Lycoming County.
