Montgomery Locals

Now that school is out for the summer, if you are looking for a family fun activity to keep your kids busy (and off their tablets and phones) you can always participate in Red Raider Rocks. The group was founded in 2018 by Chelsea Bennett.
Just paint designs on rocks and write “Red Raider Rocks” on the bottom. Then hide the rocks around town for other people to find. If you find a rock, you can keep it or re-hide it. If you find one, you can post it on the Red Raider Rocks Facebook page. With well over 200 members, it’s a fun group to be a part of.
There are two rules that the group asks everyone to adhere to: please don’t hide any rocks at the Veteran’s Memorial in the park, and please don’t hide any at businesses or on private property unless you have the owner’s permission.
I encourage all of you take part. So happy painting, and happy rock finding!
