Montgomery Local
Anytime that anyone in the community needs the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company, they are always there. They respond to life-threatening situations like house fires, car accidents, and medical emergencies.
But they aren’t only there for us in dangerous situations, they are there in good times, too. Their annual carnival has provided wonderful memories for the last century. And this past year the Ladies Auxiliary began the Dresses to Dreams program to rent prom gowns to local students at a very low cost.
It seems that no matter what the community needs, the MVFC is there for us. If you would like to show your appreciation to them in a practical way, please consider donating some Gatorade or bottled water to them. Fighting fires any time of the year is difficult, but extinguishing blazes in high heat and humidity is especially challenging. Keeping our fire fighters hydrated and as comfortable as we can is the least we can do.
If you want to donate bottled water or Gatorade to the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Company, please drop it off at the station on Friday or Saturday nights. If these days don’t work for you, please call (570) 547-1380 and leave a message. Keep in mind that the station is active, so please park by the office door on the right and not in front the garage doors on the left.
