Montgomery Locals

In the course of a few days last week, Montgomery saw snow, heavy rains, and now we are heading back to sunny days. But that’s life in central Pennsylvania where you can have a huge variety of weather in the course of a few days.

One cheery sign of spring that has been showing up around town has been sidewalk chalk art that enthusiastic kids have been creating. Seeing it makes me smile and reminds me of my own childhood when I enjoyed that same hobby. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that a child had made a hopscotch court. It’s nice to know that some classic games never die, and anything that gets children outside and off their screens is a good thing in my book.

As the weather gets warmer, if you have kids, grandkids, nieces, or nephews, why not take them outside and teach them some of your favorite outdoor activities from when you were a child? You’ll will probably have as much fun as they will, and you just might end up making some good memories that all of you will carry for the rest of your lives.

Happy birthday wishes are sent to Karman Crispell, who will be celebrating her special day on March 29.
