The Consolidated Sportsmen Club of Muncy Creeks meet Wednesday, Jan. 8, 7 p.m., at the Hughesville Fire Company, 30 South Railroad street, Hughesville.

The Sportsmen will be in attendance with a raffle table at the Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department gun show on March 7-8. Their annual banquet will be held on March 28 at 6 p.m., also at the hall.

The preseason trout stocking will be held April 7 with the stocking of the tributaries of Muncy Creek in Lycoming County. In-season stocking will begin with the Sullivan County tributaries to Loyalsock Creek on April 26.

The annual Dick Harner Kids’ Trout Derby is scheduled on May 3 at Van Rennselear Park in Picture Rocks. This is a free derby for children up to age 12, starting at 1 p.m. for the youngest age group. In-season stocking of the Muncy Creek tributaries will be on May 16-17.
