MUNCY – It is customer appreciation day and postal employees at the Muncy Post Office enjoyed greeting their customers on Thursday, July 3rd for lunch.

Bob Fike, new post master, took the opportunity to introduce himself and at the same time Jamal Blue said farewell wishes during his last day before he transferred to North Hollywood, California.

“This has been one of the best places I have ever worked,” Blue said. “People have been exceptionally kind and welcoming from the start. They are very friendly and it makes it hard to leave.

This event would not have been possible without our proud sponsors,” said maintenance manager, John Fave. Beverages and rolls were donated by Weis Markets in Muncy, hot dogs from Economy Locker Storage in Pennsdale, and chips and ice and condiments from the Muncy VFW. “Everybody wanted to pitch in and make it nice,” said Fave.

“There are residents of Muncy who go out of their way to make Muncy a better place and who continue to support its local Post Office.”
