The annual “Wing Eating Contest” between the Muncy Indians and the Hughesville Spartans was held recently at Haywoods in Muncy. Owner Kim Walker refereed the event and awarded prizes to the winners. The Spartans came out the victors this year eating a total of 69 wings to Muncy’s 63 with the cheerleaders leaving only one wing left on their plate. Representing the Hughesville cheerleaders were Naucoma May, Isabella Caffey (above); and Ashley Kline. Wing eaters for the football team were from left to right: Dakota Cordrey, Melvin Derhammer, and Christian Fish.
