MUNCY – To kick off the new year, the Eastern Lycoming YMCA in Muncy Township held their 2nd annual Self Love Saturday event. According to Heather Graham Branch Executive Director, this is a an event to celebrate the self and give yourself some time. “You are a valuable and worthy person.” Several workshops and training seminars for all fitness levels were offered from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, January. 12.
“Self love is believing that you are a valuable and worthy person,” Graham said as she pointed to the schedule of classes offering 20 minutes of some empowering workouts. The first thirty registered received a free tank top which most of the attendees wore starting with their first Dance Fusion class.
Other sessions included Boxing Barre, Ladies Who Lift, Bag Training, Booty Beauty and Self Love Stretch among others.
One of the highlighted activities was the MX4 Small Group Training. “Today they can try it for free,” said Graham. It is a training and exercise program offered monthly with a minimum of 4 participants. It is a functional program that promotes results “with a workout in only 30 minutes.”
“It gives access to a trainer without paying personal training prices.”

This program is diverse enough with resistance training to improve cardiovascular health that’s easy on the joints, yet builds muscle.
Also offered throughout the event were raffle drawings, nutritional supplements, food samples, free child care, vendors and samples.
“It was an opportunity to come and find your confidence, work out, make new friends and inspire yourself and others around you,” Graham said.
