Best in Show

Monique Clayton, of Muncy, won “Best in Show” and a first place ribbon in both the Montour-Delong and Bloomsburg fairs for the beautiful needlework tapestry depicting a Native American woman. The intricate piece denotes a Native American woman
wading in a stream while gazing at her reflection in the water.
The image is most fitting as Muncy has its earliest beginnings tied to the Monsey Indian tribe in this region, and is the school
mascot as well. One can imagine such a scene taking place along the Muncy Creek or West Branch of the Susquehanna
River. The artwork was framed by Michaels, 270 South Lycoming Mall Road before being donated to the Muncy Jr./Sr. High

School.
