Died: William J. McCarty, son of Muncy’s most prominent business men died at his home in this borough on Monday afternoon, at 4 o’clock, aged 64 years, 5 months and 18 days.
We regret to announce the death of Jennie Eaton, wife of John M.B. Petrikin, at her home at Greeley, Colorado, on Tuesday.
Walter H. Dady, who has been missing from his hotel at Shenks Ferry, Lancaster County, was found floating in the river. William H. Venrick left for that place and will return with the body.
Clarence Rogers caused considerable excitement on last Saturday nigh in disposing of a barrel of live crabs at his grocery, on So. Main St.
Professor Harry Maxwell is here from Cogan Station. He has been elected principal of Port Penn Schools.

A most tragic accident occurred at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning when Walter W. Sayre, of South Main Street was electrocuted when he accidentally came in contact with a high power wire while picking apples in a tall tree at the rear of the Dell Rager home, on South Washington St.

Births: To Mr. and Mrs. Murray Laurenson, on Sept. 6, a daughter who has been named Mary Ellen. Mrs. Laurenson was formerly Miss Sarah Anderson.

Plotts, aged 75 years, of North Market Street, died Friday evening; Mrs. Ella Shopbell, died Sunday evening, Sept. 2; Mrs. Clara Goodenow, formerly of this place, 87 years old, died last week; Mrs. Lucy Kamp, wife of Perry Kamp, Williamsport, died at the city hospital Sunday night.
