The farm of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Dimm, known as “Chippewa Farm” in Muncy township, has been sold to Messrs. Charles and Milton Beeder of Hughesville.

Misses Margaret Stine and Effie Opp,of this place, and Miss Phoebe Wren, of Turbotville, spent Thursday and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Daggett, at Milton.

Since S.D. Renn has laid a concrete pavement in front of his two houses on Main Street, it finishes up for nearly a square one of of the most complete walks in our town.

A bearded gentlemen was observed in Muncy, vainly trying to rouse one or more residents by pounding upon their doors. A telephone call aroused Dr. C.S.W. Rickolt, and it was disclosed that the man concealed behind a seven-weeks’ growth of whiskers was none other than. Dr. W.R. Petrie, returning home after about six weeks spending hunting big game in Canada.

Rev. and Mrs. C.F. Catherman entertained the members of the Muncy Ministerium and their wives, last Friday evening, at the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church.

Deaths: James W. Rawle, one of the early families of this section, died at his home.

The home of Harold Drick, 387 Drick Road, Pennsdale, broke out into flames Monday morning.

Harold Davis, of Muncy, was recently honored at a dinner and reception by family, friends and members of the Muncy Presbyterian Church upon his retirement after 26 and a half years as treasurer of the church.

This past Sunday, friends and the Hughesville community gathered at the town’s fire hall for a benefit for the sons of the late Lori Ohl.
