The Rev. A.R. DeWitt, Dr. J. R. Ranking and Dr. Ray Lyon attended the first annual banquet of University of Pennsylvania Alumni Association, of the North Central Pennsylvania district, at the Park Hotel Williamsport.
Edward Willis, of Charleston, W. Va., and Miss Carrie Willis, of Philadelphia, are visiting at “Chippewa Farm,” the guests of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Dimm.

Ray Wendall, of the Al G. Fields Minstrels, is home spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.W. Wendle, at Muncy Station.
Mess Louis Albright returned home on Saturday after spending three weeks with her cousins in Philadelphia.
Professor and Mrs. Harry Espenshade, of State College, are spending Christmas vacation with the latter’s parents., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Wood on Prospect Hill.

Herbert Nunn, of near Huntersville, suffered the loss of his left hand and arm as the result of having that member caught in a corn shredder Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Melinda Keefer, of Danville, died at the Geisinger Memorial Hospital Saturday night, aged 72 years. She was the sister of Mrs. Martha Strouse, of his place.
The Tom Thumb Wedding and reception was presented by the teachers and pupils of Grades 2 and 3 on Dec. 13th and 14. Over 40 little couples appeared in the procession.
Cards have been received announcing the marriage of Arthur MacIlvain Maris, former resident of Muncy, and son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Maris, to Miss Frances Amherst Johnson, of New York City.

Michael Aldish was selected to a one-year term as president of the Muncy Joint School board at the annual organizational meeting.
Ralph C. Feigles. one of Muncy’s most outstanding citizens, died about 1 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at his home in Muncy after suffering a heart attack while preparing to retire for the night.
Miss Lottie Shook was re-elected president of the Muncy Business and Professional Women’s Club at the annual Christmas dinner-party held at Boyers Restaurant.
The Hughesville Volunteer Fire Co. has re-elected Delvan Swisher as fire chief.
Deaths: Howard J. Peterman, 69, of Muncy, died Dec. 13 at Muncy Valley Hospital; John W. Foresman, 79, of Montgomery, died Dec. 11 in the Muncy Valley hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident; S. Edward Decker, of Montgomery, died suddenly at his home Dec. 10.
