Cards have been received by many of our citizens announcing the marriage of Miss Nan Montgomery Shoemaker to MR. John Sloane, on Dec. 23, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Willis Georgia.
John D. Dimm and Miss annie McCarty, both of this place, were married Tuesday evening by Rev. Miller at the parsonage at St. Marks’ Lutheran church, Williamsport.
On Friday evening last, a number of young people from this place, enjoyed a straw ride to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Tallman, where they were entertained by MR. Fort and Miss Florence Tallman.

Dec. 27, 1906
Hervey K. Mensch died at his home on South Market street, Sunday morning at 1:00 o’clock after an illness of about a year. He was aged 74 years and 27 days.

Dec. 27, 1934
Four persons were injured in an accident which demolished two cars on the highway in front of the Ives Farm, south of Muncy.
Miss Bernice Ellen Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wright, of Muncy, and Charles Nile Ager, also of Muncy were united in marriage at the home of the bride on Wednesday evening.
Deaths: Harvey J. Artley, Muncy borough, died suddenly Tuesday evening, Dec. 25th, at his home; Catherine Hunter, sister of Mrs. H.A. Long, of this placed died at her home in Detroit, Wednesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo O. Temple entertained at a family Christmas party at their home on East Penn Street. Donald Kahler acted as Santa Claus for the occasion.

The first public ice skating on the new rink at the elementary school was scheduled to take place Wednesday evening.

Muncy Borough Council vice-president, Betty R. Stugart, was elected council president at the reorganizational meeting.
Approximately 250 people enjoyed a ham and turkey dinner and received Christmas gifts from Santa as part of the annual Spirit of the Season Christmas dinner in Hughesville.
