The two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Corson fell Wednesday evening and broke her arm. Dr. Ray Lyons gave her attention.

Frank M Opp left Sunday night for Panther, West Virginia, where he has accepted a position with the Ritter Lumber Company.

Jan. 10, 1907

Died: Samuel James Buffington, one of the most steadfast, industrious, and respected citizens of Muncy, after a painful illness of just one week, died at 3 o’clock on Saturday morning, Jan. 5th.

Died: Miss Pearl C. Murray died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Murray, in Muncy Creek Township, on Saturday, Jan. 5, aged 11 years.

Miss Edna Downing has returned to the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor, Michigan, after spending a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Downing.

Mr. and Mrs. Foster Myers and children, and Mrs. Myers’ father, Mr. M.E. Harris, were all confined to their home on West Water street by illness for the past several days. There illness was a form of a lagrippe or influenza.

Deaths: Walter A. Wood, of Montoursville, died suddenly last Sunday evening; Mrs. Mary Jenkins, aged 69 years, widow of David Jenkins, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Rohm on Wednesday evening, January 2nd after a lingering illness; Miss Mary Louise Lloyd, died at her home on January 8, in Germantown, Philadelphia. She was 91 years old.

A 23-year old Muncy area mother, Mrs. Donald Warren, and her three-year old son were killed instantly about 10 a.m. Sunday when her car veered from the highway on East Penn Street and rammed into a house at full speed.

Ned Shuler, of Hughesville, will leave Friday for Honolulu to carry out a special assignment for Jones and Laughlin Steel corporation.

Robert Miller, was elected president of Muncy Borough Council for the ensuing two years.

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Clayton Simmers, wife of retired Navy Captain Simmers. The former Maude Rogers of Muncy.

The Redland Prismo Corp. plant in Pennsdale returned to partial production Monday, less than three days after $250,000 fire destroyed the quality control laboratory and office area.

Members of the Newcomers Club modeled their own gowns and some of older vintage.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bogart of Hughesville, have announced the engagement of their daughter Lynne Diane Bogart to Edward Fritz Musser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Musser of Muncy.

The Muncy School Board named Mark DiRocco, of New Street, Muncy, assistant principal at the high school at their regular meeting on Jan. 14.

Births: A son, Christopher Shawn, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Watson, NY, on Dec. 7, 1984. The mother is the former Phyllis Bay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaRue S. Bay of Muncy; a son, Benjamin William, born to Mr. and Mrs. Marc Strouse, Muncy, Jan. 4. Mrs. Strouse is the former Barbara Gray.
