Died: Oliver P. Ritter, one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens died at his home Tuesday afternoon, aged 65 years four months and 23 days after an illness of but two days.
Sprout, Waldron & Company’s band attended the Hughesville fair in a body last Thursday afternoon and made a neat appearance.
Among those from tis place who left for the Pan-American Exposition at Buffalo last week were Dr. and Mrs. H.N. Laird and daughter, Miss Victoria, and Ray Poust, Harry Rogers and Howard Worthington, accompanied by Harry Derr and Martin, of Montgomery, who also left for the “Pan” last week.

A donkey baseball game will be played at the Muncy Athletic Field MOnday afternoon, and will provide Muncy fans with some of the funniest entertainment ever to hit Muncy in a long time.
The Annual Lycoming County Fair will open at Hughesville on Oct. 2 and continue the end of the week.
The reopening of the Muncy Woolen Mills by a new company seems more certain each day as representatives of the new company continue to conduct extensive experiments with the machinery at the mill.
Engagement was announced of Miss Martha Colley and Robert Frey, Muncy.
Mrs. Minnie F. DeWald, of Philadelphia and William F. Bitler, Sr., of Muncy were married Saturday afternoon.
Deaths: Cora Sevison, aged 65 years, died at the Muncy Valley Hospital after a lingering illness; Ruth Sitler, age 34 years, of Hughesville, died on Friday evening at the Williamsport Hospital following a major operation.

With a parade featuring 24 floats and three bands touching off the gala fair being sponsored by the Elementary PTA on Sept. 23, festivities will wind up on the school grounds where patrons may literally buy everything from “soup to nut” with at least a half dozen amusements prepared as entertainments.
An exciting time of the year for automobile enthusiasts is just ahead, as local dealers are busy with preparation s for the showing of the 1961 modes.

At borough council meeting Oct, 8, Supervisor of Public Works Garmen Zehner said that several leaks at the water reservoir are getting worse. He recommended that a reservoir liner be installed.

Celebrating with his wife their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary, marking his ninetieth birthday on Oct. 3 and being guest of honor at the local homecoming game as one of two survivors of the first-ever Muncy-Muncy Creek HIgh School football team of 1926, Cummings has been busy.
Construction will soon come to an end for a new bridge in Montgomery over Black Hole Creek.
The Muncy High School Marching Band performed in a Tournament of Bands at Painter Stadium in Lock Haven and earned a first place trophy with a score of 71.4.
