Brady Township was formed 156 years ago on Tuesday, January 31, 1855 from a portion of Washington Township. What is now Gregg Township (Union County) was also included in Brady Township until 1861, when the township was divided into Brady and Gregg. William Piatt (1795-1876) was a prominent citizen from Brady Township, serving as member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly in the 1830s and associate judge between 1855 and 1860.
