The Muncy Luminary
August 7, 1902
On Tuesday afternoon, Chester Boyer, aged 7 years, son of U.G. Boyer of Clarkstown, fell from the seat of a reaper, the machine passing over him, severing both feet just above the ankles.
The death of John Waldron on Monday night removes from this life one of our most prominent and respected citizens. Mr. Waldron was aged 58 years, 6 months and 11 days.
Thomas Lockard, P.W. Camp and De La Lloyd wheeled to Beaver Dam on Sunday where they looked over the copper mines.

Lloyd Baker, a former resident of muncy, but who now resides at Boston, Mass., was married to Miss Jennie Marrow, also of Boston, at that place Thursday.
A daughter has arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rodabough.

The Muncy Rotary Club entertained on Friday evening at the Crawford Hotel, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Finkler, newlyweds, who are now at home in their newly furnished home on Pepper street.
Insufficient information as to the location of a fire Sunday afternoon about 2:00 o’clock caused the Keystone Hook and Ladder Company to visit three places before the blaze was found.
A home is offered for the local Historical Society and Museum. A gift from a friend.
Born: To Mr. and Mrs. Carl Worthington of Muncy on Monday night, a daughter.

The Rev. Earl Brooks will be installed as the new pastor of the Muncy PResbyterian church in a special service arranged for July 6.
Twenty-one of the Sprout Waldron sales and home office staff, concerned with the marketing of Sprout-Waldron’s line of pulp refining and stock preparation equipment as sold to the pulp and paper industry gathered in Muncy last week for a complete review of the company’s recently expanded product line.

Muncy School Board looks to eliminate Occupational Tax.

IT is hoped that the new ornate belvedere built by Pete Trotta of Muncy will assume its position atop the Margaret Waldron Community Building in Muncy by the end of the month.
