The only call ex-Governor Pattison made during his stay i Muncy last Thursday, was on Thornton Walker, the popular barber, where he was relieved by a beard of one day’s growth, and we venture to say he will not get a closer political shave on November 4th.
The Muncy Gun Club held its regular semi-monthly shoot for the Ida Van B. Walton medal Thursday afternoon at the club grounds. The medal was retained by Charles Downing who broke 18 out of 25 blue rocks. Mr Downing has held the medal for about four shoots.

While Albert Hafer and wife were attending the Hughesville fair last Thursday, thieves ransacked their home taking Mr. Hafer’s wedding suit and a gold watch, bracelet and seven dollars in cash.
Frank Sevison, the tailor, is the proud possessor of one of the finest automobiles in this vicinity. It is a 1912 model self-starting Cadallac, with electric lights and many other new wrinkles that other cars do not possess.
Ralph Cornelison of this place had his hands badly burned at the Hughesville fair last Thursday afternoon, while helping to put out the fire in a refreshment stand operated by Lyn Tolbert of this place. The gasoline stove used by Tolbert exploded, causing a bad fire and lots of excitement.

Manager Harold W. Larned, of the Ritz Theatre has announced that beginning Monday, Oct. 26th, the Ritz Theatre will give weekly Bank Night awards to the theater going public of this community.
Mrs. George Wilt arrived Saturday from Champaign, Ill., to join her husband, who is the new coach at Muncy High School.
In keeping with his policy of making the Ritz Theatre better and better, Manager Larned has provided his doorman with a very dressy uniform. Ushers and the ticket seller will also soon appear in uniform.
Died: Elizabeth S. Berger, formerly of Muncy and Philadelphia, died Tuesday afternoon at home of Mrs. H. Van F. Harper, Williamsport.

After 40 years of teaching, Alfred “Bud” Snyder is now retired and being referred to as “The Legend”.
Members of the Muncy Area Lions Club helped with the installation of new playground equipment at the Lions Park in Muncy.
Mike Wall proudly displays a large flag at his home on Route 442 and Fogleman Road, Muncy. On Sep. 12 the day after the terrorist attacks, he went to the attic to get the only flag he had, the one that had covered his father’s casket in 1992 when he was honored as a WWII veteran in Philadelphia.
