A quite wedding took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Houseknecht, Saturday, afternoon. The contracting parties were their daughter, Miss Jennie and Edward Snyder, of Milton.
Daniel Wonders, who is employed by the East Branch Creamery Co., met with an accident Friday afternoon. He was riding down Washington street on a bicycle when the frame gave way and he was thrown heavily to the ground. He was rendered almost senseless and was badly bruised.
Last night fire broke out in the barn in the rear of the house occupied by Rev. D.L. Wood, on N. Main street, and in a few minutes that building and a large wood house, and the barns of Mrs. Heilman, adjoining and R. F. Cornelison, across the alley were a mass of flames and soon burned to the ground.

Miss May Murray, one of Muncy’s popular young ladies, went to Philadelphia on the late Reading train Friday evening, and Saturday morning accompanied by Walter Schoch, better known as “Salty” went over to Camden, N.J., where they were quietly united in marriage.
Eugene and Ben Renn and Dennis and Wilbur Lockard, of Muncy, are now at Camp Overton, Philippine Islands, with Second Cavalry.
William Guyer and family who several weeks ago moved to Tampa , Florida, have returned to Muncy where they will reside in the future.
Died: William E. Allen, 83, of Muncy, died Oct. 15; Dorothy L. Smith, 78, of Muncy, died Oct. 17; Guy E. Stiffler, 95, of Muncy, died Oct. 18; Catherine M. Bower, 78, of Picture Rocks, died Oct. 22; Sarah A. Millheim, 83, formerly of Hughesville, died Oct. 19; Carol C. Decker, 91, of Williamsport, died Oct. 17.

Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Womelsdorf celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, Saturday evening, by entertaining a number of guests at their home.
Muncy’s new grocery under the management of Elmer Barbour will open tomorrow.
Died: Mrs. Madge Slonake Neufer, 52, a former resident of this place, died Saturday morning.

Died: Carman E. Zarr, longtime Muncy resident and operator of an independent grocery store, died suddenly Sunday evening. He was 64.
