Miss Isabelle Renn, who has been visiting friends near Ferndale Park, ran a penknife into her left hand on Saturday, severing a small artery.
The trolley car agitation is again being discussed. The latest rumor reports the extension of the Shamokin line from that city to Williamsport with branches from Muncy to Hughesville and Picture Rocks.
A Tabard Inn Library has been established in town, the station being Hoffman and Downing’s store. There are over 100 members.

James Mark Brewer, of this place, who recently composed a poem entitled “Poem to Muncy”, has received his copyright and the same is now on sale.
Martin Luther Shipe, one of Muncy’s well-known druggists died at his home on East Water street, last Thursday, at midnight, of acute bright’s disease, at the age of 37 years.
The Muncy High School football team, under the management of Clayton Banzhaf, is now in the field with their 1912 schedule.
Mrs. R.B. Montgomery is having a new concrete porch erected in front of her residence on Main street.

Headline: Ticklish Rock Attracts Interest-Recently there appeared in a number of city papers, pictures and descriptions of Ticklish Rock, a large rock standing on the side of a mountain seemingly about to topple over. It is located about 45 minutes drive from Muncy.
C. Randolph Kahler, of R.D. No. 1, Hughesville, has purchased a 91 acre farm in Lycoming County, 2 miles south east of Hughesville, the Federal Land Bank of Baltimore announced today.
Charles E. Sholley, aged about 60, of Sunbury, died at 10:15 o’clock Friday morning at the Muncy Valley Hospital, from a fractured skull received June 19 when six piers of the Montgomery bridge collapsed.
Died: Ransom E. Snyder, aged 78, a retired farmer of Upper Fairfield Township, died at his home Monday morning after an illness of two years.

Donald Rosenbaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rosenbaum, of Muncy, will receive a bachelor of science degree in social studies at the annual commencement exercises of Bloomsburg State College.
Headed by first place winner Doris Getinger, Muncy high school swept all four individual honors in the annual essay contest sponsored throughout Lycoming County by the Sons of American Revolution.
Jon Alan Little, currently on the faculty at Towanda Valley high school will be the new industrial arts teacher in the Muncy Joint Schools.
Sports stories written about the Muncy high school basketball team when it was on the state chamnpionship trail in March of 1961 have earned statewide recognition for Bob Wilt, editor and publisher of The Luminary.
Miss Delores Ann VanHorn, Williamsport, and Charles Louis Lowe, of Muncy, were united in marriage on May 19.

Graduating Muncy seniors Katie Hunt, Aimee Dilcher, Tabitha Neill, Loukeya Wright, David Coffman, David Knowlden, Rolland Woodling and Peter Ruhl lead their classmates and guests in the Star Spangled Banner during last Friday’s 122nd commencement exercises of Muncy High School.
Two long-time teachers retire: Evelyn McConnell Derrick has retired from Muncy H.S. after more than 28 years in education, 22 at Muncy and Diana Konkle will retire after 15 of her 25 years in education with the Muncy School District.
Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Eiswerth will observe their silver anniversary on June 11.
