Leonard Schanbacher, Dan Ceccoli, Roger Sharpe Resign Teaching Posts in Muncy Schools; Four Vacancies Now Exist in Faculty for 1962-63 Term

Mrs. Emilie McCarty Sanders, self-styled archivist of Muncy Borough though she had not resided here permanently since 1912, died Sunday, July 1, after an illness of more than a year.

Mrs. Ruth Ann Lowe Wed on Friday, June 29, to Arthur Ohl.

Edward Aderhold took over as president of the Hughesville Rotary Club at a ladies night installation party held at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church last week.

Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walters were his brother and sister-in-law, Mr.and Mrs. Gerald Walters, of Madison, Ga.

Mr.and Mrs. Jesse Houseknecht and daughter Gloria, and Miss Tanya Michael, are on a vacation trip to California.

Area resident serving our country: Air Force Airman Dustin D. Duff, son of Michelle and Derrick Duff, of Muncy.

Culminating a three-day reunion of the Fiester family, descendants honored Revolutionary War solder Gottfried Fiester at his grave site in Immanuel Cemetery along Lime Bluff Road in Muncy Creek Township.

Frank Shetler, of Picture Rocks, won the “Figure-8” car racing event at the Lycoming Fair.

The engagement of 1Lt. Regan N. Campbell, of Georgia, formerly of Muncy, to 1Lt. Shannon Zerbey of Alexandria, VA.
