Mrs. Anna Painter and son Harold, and daughter Marie, left on Friday for Germantown and Philadelphia, where they will visit.
Irvin Ruckle, who has been spending the summer with his son William, at Dover, N.J., came to Muncy on Monday accompanied by his granddaughter, Margaret.
The following young people drove o Billmyer’s Park Sunday and spent the day: Misses Lizzie and Flora Sheddy, Maggie Brass, and Messrs. William Brass and George Heister.

Thursday, Nov. 7, 1912
ON Tuesday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rauch received a telegram stating their son, Stewart, had been so badly injured in a railroad accident at Medicine Hat, Canada, on Tuesday that he died the same evening in a Hospital.
Richard Brass has resigned as clerk at Rogers’ Grocery and Leonard G. Rogers had taken his place.
Harry Shell, who is employed by Bush & Stewart, the contractor who are building the new road on West Water street, met with a bad accident on Monday, when his foot slipped while oiling the steam roller, and was drawn in the rolls of the machine, necessitating the amputation of he left foot above the knee.

Thursday, Oct. 28, 1937
Died: Jennie M. Brass, died at her home in this place at 9:30 o’clock Tuesday evening, after a lingering illness. She was 77 years old; Salome M. Kirkner, age 47, died at her home on Muncy R.D. 1, last Thursday afternoon at 1:30.
Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Sunday by entertaining at a 13-pound turkey dinner.
Early Sunday morning a group of about twenty young men attacked Police Officer Maurice Kahler, on Main street, and caused an injury to his knee.
Hurley E. Gordner, a high school student, suffered a fractured arm while playing football on Friday, and was removed to the hospital for treatment.

The Muncy High School band spent Wednesday at the Bloomsburg Fair as guest of the Fair association.
Mrs. Leroy Day entertained ten members of the GT Club at a luncheon at Boyers restaurant in Hughesville.

Muncy High School’s Heather Avery was crowned queen on Oct. 3 at the Muncy Indian football game. Crowned princess was Michelle Musser.
The 43rd reunion of the Muncy Normal School was held at the Myers Elementary School.
Announced was a $1.5 million infrastructure grant to help fund a $20 million project by the Kellogg Company which will establish a production facility in the Muncy Industrial Park and plans to create 130 jobs over the next two years.
Missy Hiltz and Ken Forbes have joined the staff of The Luminary.
Muncy Valley Hospital has announced the appointment of Daniel C. Berninger to its Board of Directors.
Births: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bilger, a son, Aug. 29. The mother is the former Kathleen Losell.
