The Muncy Luminary
Thursday, March 5, 1904
Frank Hellman, of Muncy Creek Township, was united in marriage to Miss Elsie J. Donnelly, at the home of her parents in Bristol, last Wednesday afternoon.
A quiet wedding took place tat the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Opp Tuesday evening, when their daughter, Miss Edna, was united in marriage to Levi D. Colley.
John Coppes moved his family on last Thursday to Jacob Frey’s farm which he has rented for the coming year.
George Miller, the sexton of Muncy cemetery, had more than his share of hard work last week in digging into the frozen earth to prepare six graves, the number of interments that took place in the cemetery, the frost having reached a depth of over three feet.

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Emily Turner last Thursday evening when her youngest daughter, Miss Marguerite was united in marriage to Clark Dimm of this place.
Hulda Dimm, the four-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dimm fell from a rocking chair at her home Friday evening, and was badly injured, a tooth piercing her lip and the end of her tongue, nearly severed.
Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waldron, at the home of Mrs. Waldron’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Albright, at Germantown, on Friday, a daughter.
Among those from this place who attended the inauguration at Washington, of President Wilson, were Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Artley, C. Roy Dimm, Charles Sheddy, Frank Corson, W.A. Petrikin, Mrs. Elmer Foust and Simon Confer.

Harry A. Banzhaf, of South Washington street, was admitted to the Williamsport Hospital Wednesday, critically ill with pneumonia.
The Harpster Electric Company with Mr. W. F. Harpster as proprietor has opened up an electric store on West Water street, second door to the rear of the Muncy Banking company.

Muncy wrestlers down BEN, 20-18, for the West Branch Title–Pin by Steve Musser and Bill Scott’s 3-2 decision sealed BEN’s first conference defeat in history.
Howard R. Wallis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wallis, of Muncy, sales representative for Johnson & Johnson Hospital Division in Texas has been named winner of the company’s E.E. Dickson award as the “Outstanding Sales of 1962.”
Olen Johnson, Muncy, is the new president of Muncy Little League succeeding Joseph McCabe.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Dimms, Muncy, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27.
Miss Barbara Quick, Muncy teacher, became the bride of Lee Ciccarelli on Feb. 20.
Susan Dorman, a senior from Picture Rocks, has been selected D.A.R. award winner.
Mrs. Elton B. Edkin, Hughesville, had the misfortune to fall on ice and fractured her wrist.

Clarence and Edna Shaner of Hughesville ceremony, with 65 years of marriage, renewed their vows in a special ceremony held at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Muncy Valley Hospital on Friday.
As the President’s Day Blizzard dumped as much as 16 inches of snow across the region, Linn Reeser’s four-wheeler served double-duty as a snowplow as residents spent most of the day “digging-out” of the snow.
The engagement was announced of Karen Kurtz to Matthew Gaydon, of Muncy, son of Marie and Lewis Gaydon.
