Thursday, May 19, 1904
William Guyer, of this place, and Miss Millie Packard, of Williamsport, were married Tuesday evening.
Chief Burgess C.B. Vandine, on Tuesday received at his hardware store a new patent rat trap which certainly works to perfection. To give the trap a practical test he placed one of them in his barn in the evening and yesterday morning he had a catch of 14 fine big rats.
The bicycle path between Muncy and Hughesville is said to be in fine condition.
The first game of Baseball was played at this place on Saturday, the Bucknell Reserves being the opposing team. The game was a battle of pitchers, Jack Clapp, of the home team striking out thirteen men, and August of the visitors, seen.

Last Friday evening at St. James Rectory, Wilden Scott Renn of this place, was married to Miss Edna Pearl Meiser, of Montgomery.
George W. Green, who is one of the engineers on the Panama Canal, arrive home last Saturday to spend a month with his mother Mrs. DeLa Green.
W.M. Kift, of Muncy Station, has cultivated an acre of asparagus from which he cuts one hundred bunches daily.
Herman L. Collins, formerly of Muncy one of the best known newspaper men in the state, now connected with the Philadelphia Ledger, was married at high noon today to Miss Marion Long.

Hansell and Gretel to be 9th Grade Play-Operetta to Feature Junior High Promotion Exercises at Muncy School Auditorium
Augustus M. Fahnestock, Muncy’s well-known tailor, was highly elated Tuesday over a visit paid him by Ed P. Young, District Attorney, of Towanda, who called to see him, the first time they had met each other since 1890.
Mr. and Mrs. Orrie Miller, itinerant photographers who visit Muncy each season with their trailer studio, arrived this week.

Died: Mrs. Sara E. Williamson, 81, of this place, died last Friday morning after undergoing an operation.
Saturday, May 28, at 2 o’clock has been set for the dedication ceremonies of the Muncy Historical Society and Museum of History to be held in the auditorium of the Muncy-Muncy Creek High School.
Born: To Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bartlow, North Market street, on Tuesday morning, a son.

Ground was broken on Wednesday for the new Muncy swimming pool and there was every expectation that the pool would be opened as planned by early summer.
Mrs. E.B. Luft of near Muncy , this week announced of the business residence in Muncy of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chase, with the change of owner ship to take placed on May 1.
Two Muncy H.S. school band performers, Misses Linda Murray and Bonnie Covert, will participate in All-State Band at Phillipsburg.
Miss Kathleen Rose Jagers will become the bird of James Kennedy Jr. on April 20.

Area resident serving our country: Army National Guard Specialist Kevin D. Bigelow, who was activated Feb. 10, 3003, for one to two years, is serving with Company G, 104th Aviation Regiment. He is the son of Roxanna and Edwin Bigelow, Muncy.
