Henry R. Clarke and daughters, Margaret and Mabel, spent a few days with the former’s son, Ralph Clarke, at Picture Rocks.
Mrs. John Wilson and daughter, LIzzie, who have been guests of the former’s daughter, Mrs. W. K. Cuddy, in Philadelphia, for several weeks, have returned home.
Herbert Edwards secured the cake which was chanced off by Robert Weiley on Saturday evening.

Sam Sincere, who has been managing the Opera House, gives up control of that amusement place tonight. Mr. Sincere intends to devote his entire time hereafter to his rapidly increasing fruit business.
N. L. Vredenburg’s big automobile skidded on the ice Monday and crashed into a tie post, badly damaging the car.

Light snowfalls and rain during the early part of the week caused much distress on the highways of Muncy and vicinity.
Engagements-Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Van Dine, of Unityville, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Rena, to Freeman Robbins, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Robbins, of Unityville.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brittain, of this place, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Marion, of Williamsport, to Clifford Wenzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Wenzel, Williamsport.
Died: Mrs. Bessie Anderson, 59, formerly of MUncy, died Saturday night, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage in front of a downtown theatre in the afternoon; Wilson D. Corderman, of Muncy, died Sunday night at the home of his brother-in-law, James Murray.

Robert M. Frey, last of the independent downtown grocers in Muncy who has traded under the name of Bob Frey’s Market, revealed this week that he is retiring from the grocery business early in 1964.
Miss Doris Jean Geringer placed first in the Jaycee scrip competition last week in the Muncy High School auditorium.
A busy year of wrestling for the U.S. Marines is in store for Larry Lauchle, Muncy’s NCAA and Olympic wrestler of great renown.
Miss Georgianna Waltman graduated as Ensign from Navy Nurse Officer School.

Area resident serving our country: Air Force Airman John S. Batko, Jr., has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Batko is a 2003 graduate from Loyalsock Township High School.
Subzero temperatures in the area over the weekend created beautiful icicles at “The Rocks” in Picture Rocks.
Muncy Borough Council heard a pitch for video gambling in the borough by Fort Brady owner Gene Walburn at Tuesday’s meeting.
