Thursday, Feb. 23, 1905
E.B. Clapp slipped on the walk in front of P.E. Kramer’s Jewelry Store and broke his nose.
On last Saturday evening the water pipes in the street in front of W.H. Banzhaf’s bakery burst, and for several hours the water flowed down Main street in a steady stream.
Miss Laura Leinbach has returned home from Newberry, where she has been visiting Miss Ruth Cupp.

Thursday, Feb. 19, 1914
David Leiby, aged 28 years, was seriously injured Wednesday morning about 10 minutes before noon, when his had and arm were caught beneath a belt running 248 revolutions per minute.
Married: John A. Seid and Miss Margaret Kelchner were married at the home of the bride’s parents Saturday evening, Feb. 14.
Despite the bad roads and drifted snow, Grant Leiser, carrier on Muncy R.D. No. 4, completed his route, Saturday.

Thursday, Feb. 23, 1939
Jordan O. Whitmire, age 41, of South Market Street, was fatally injured about 8:30 o’clock this morning, when his car skidded on a patch of ice beneath the Pennsylvania Railroad culvert, on the road to Montgomery, and crashed into the culvert.
Word has been received here of the marriage of Miss Jeanne Ladd to Mr. Harry B. Houghton, in the home of the latter’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard H. Houghton, Oklahoma City, on Feb. 11th.
Charles Moyer, Pennsdale was taken to the Williamsport Hospital Tuesday morning, suffering from second and third degree burns of the left hand and wrist, sustained while repairing his truck in a local garage.
Died: Fannie Corson, native of Willaimsport, died at her home on Feb. 17. She was 82. Edward E. Shay, age 81, former banker and postmaster of Williamsport, died last Thursday.

The year’s second big and second biggest snowfall engulfed this area, as id did all of Pennsylvania, when about 15 inches of the white stuff fell between 6 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday.
The three-day measles were responsible this week for unusually high absenteeism in the Muncy schools.
Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Nancy M. Michael, of near Muncy, and to Peter Brandt of Pennsdale.

Word received of Chester F. Hockley, Maryland civic leader and industrialist, died on Dec. 26 following a brief illness. Born 81 years ago in the Muncy Hills near here.

U.S. Representative George W. Gekas has announced that Erin Klinger, of Muncy, has been offered an appointment to the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, CO.
Hughesville’s Steve Budman earned his 100th career wrestling victory and is currently ranked the No. 1 140-pound wrestler in Pennsylvania.
Mark Fenner, son of Dr. and Mrs. Henry E. Fenner, Muncy, was the Ward L. Myers winner of the National Geographic Society Geography Bee.
