Francis Shade and wife, Wm. F. Shade, of Williamsport, David Fry and wife, George Fry of Watsontown, and Mr. and Mrs. John Fry and son Leroy of Sedan, Mrs. Ralph Fry of Wilkes Barre, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. G.B. M. Fry, ,who served them with an excellent turkey dinner.
Fire at Williamsport Tuesday evening consumed the large planning mill of Geo. B. Breon, which some lumber, causing a loss of $25,000.
Frank Sevison is laying a concrete walk in front of his tailor shop on Main Street.
Mrs. A.B., Worthington was called to the bedside of his sister, Miss Lucinda Berry, who was stricken with paralysis, while on a visit to Picture Rocks.

The Luminary made editorial comment on the entry of the U.S. into the World War.
There were no “little American” at the patriotic mass meeting held in the Baptist church last evening, if the display of patriotism is an indication of the feelings of Muncyites. Postmaster Thomas Wood acted as toastmaster and Robert K. Reeder, Burgess of Muncy, offered the following resolution: Resolved, that the citizens of Muncy, in meeting assembled, express their deep faith and trust in the National Government and in Woodrow Wilson, its President.
Mrs. Margaret Rickolt, relict of Frederick Rickolt, died at her home on Penn St., Wednesday, aged 67 years.

Yesterday’s weather brought a sudden drop in temperature, with cold westerly winds whirling snowflakes in the air.
Earl Smith, Muncy, was one of a group of three men who purchased a Taylor Cub manufactured by the PIper Aircraft Corporation at Lock Haven to be used at the Hughesville Airport for instruction purposes.
Miss Helen Cofer, of Muncy, became the bride of Thomas E. Lanks, of Jersey Shore on Monday at the Baptist parsonage.
With this issue of the Muncy Luminary, we begin our 99th volume. Established April 10, 1841, the Luminary has been published continuously for 98 years.
Died: W.H. Everett, 66, Bethlehem, Pa., died last Thursday. He was a native of Montgomery and was the son of Mrs. Sarah Everett who lived in Muncy for many years; Leroy Frey, 41, Williamport, died Tuesday afternoon at the Williamsport Hospital.
