The Muncy Luminary

Thursday, May 4, 1905

Fred Laurer has purchased from the Reibsam estate the vacant corner lot on South Main Street where he will erect a handsome residence.

The barn on the property of William Banzhaf and occupied by George Winters took fire and was burned down about 7 o’clock Thursday of last week.

The work of cleaning the ground for the new Lutheran Church goes on very rapidly, three buildings have been torn down, and one moved back several feet from the street.

Joseph C. Budd Died Sunday At Age of 93-Muncy Resident Oldest Man in County Following Death of Manning Thomas, 99

Roland Ritter Post No. 268 of the American Legion will hold its annual carnival on May 17-20 on the lot at the corner of East Water and Washington streets.

A large delegation of West Penn street property owners filed a protest with Muncy Borough Council at the regular May meeting. Dissatisfaction was expressed in regard to the tappage fee for the recently completed sewer, by residents who claimed to have paid a tappage fee a number a years ago on an existing sewer.
