Thursday, August 3, 1905
Richard Clapp, aged 17 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Clapp, was seriously injured last Saturday night when he jumped from the rear platform of a passenger train, which back over him.
Harry Levine, manager for Heyman Herr’s store in this place for the past three years has resigned his position and left for PHiladelphia and New York City where he will purchase goods for the new store he will shortly open in Williamsport.

William B. Soars, who has been in the dairy business in Muncy for over thirty years, refused to raise the price of his goods, and stated that before he would ask the price which the others are asking, he would quit the business. Mr. Soars made good his promise and on Monday his wagons made their last rounds.
Born: To Mr. and Mrs. Brady Artley on Thursday last, a son.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mitcheltree, Mrs. Smith and daughter, Kellie, and son, Earl, motored to Muncy were they visited Mr. and Mrs. Harry Garnhart at Kamp Komfort, along the Susquehanna.

Place their stamp of approval on the activities of the Community Trade Association of Williamsport in seeking a Northeast Air Base site in the triangular space between Muncy, Pennsdale and Hughesville, the Borough Councils of Montgomery, Hughesville and Muncy adopted resolutions favoring the federal project.
Mrs. Jelana Gordner and Edward Heberling of this place, were united in marriage Wednesday evening, July 26, at 7 o’clock.
Died: Mrs. Elizabeth Steiner, 79, formerly of Williamsport, died last Thursday at Danville.

John L. Bruch, Jr., an avowed Goldwaterite, has forsaken business for the pleasure (?) of attending the national GOP convention in San Francisco. He flew by jet from New York Tuesday morning.
The most luscious sight we’ve seen recently is the cherry orchard at Joe Wentzler’s fruit farm. there are some 85 trees, so laden with bright, plump red sour cherries that their limbs bow to the ground.
Two former schoolmates at Muncy High School were united in marriage n July 11, when MIss Bessie Jane Johnson and Richard William Cotner repeated nuptial vows in Trinity Lutheran church, of Hughesville.

Mrs. A. Beatrice Petrie, of Muncy, recently received a signed citation from President George Bush in honor of her brother the late Lamont J. Eaker, who serviced in both WWI and WWII.
Miss Margaret McKenna, of Churchville, became the bride of Dr. Gregory Herman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Herman of Muncy on April 15.
On June 10 Kathleen Albertson, of Stroudsburg, became the bride of Stephen Fenner, of Muncy.
