Aaron Lilley, who purchased the Harvey Smith f arm in Clinton Township, has sold the same to J. C. Thomas of Williamsport, who will take possession April 1, 1906.
Ralph T. Smith has begun the excavation for the foundation of a handsome new store building on his property just north of the Langcake property on Main Street. It will make a fine improvement when completed.
Miss Edna Schoch has resigned her position as clerk for Charles B. Gortner, to teach school this fall. Miss Edith Gundrum has taken her place.

Ferns Bitler, who has taught school in East Muncy for a number of years, has left for Bucknell University, where he will be a student this winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bardo and son, Earl Jr., spent the weekend with Mrs. Bardo’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Colley on N. Washington Street.
Lycoming County’s first contingent of the National Army left Williamsport last Wednesday morning, numbering 107 men. Four young men from Muncy were among the recruits: Max S. Worthington, Charles Beilhartz, Rollin Strouse and Franklin H. Berger. They entrained for Camp Meade, Md.

Mr. E. A. Hall, an Indian, from Mexico, Missouri, passed through Muncy, Monday, enroute from the World’s Fair in New York, to his home. Mr. Hall has made his entire trip on roller skates, using the highways.
In a pretty wedding ceremony performed in the Zion Lutheran parsonage in Turbotville Saturday night, Miss Christina Tipler, Turbotville, and John Wertman, of Muncy, were united in marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter G. Schock of West Grove, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Thelma Frances to Mr. Emmett J. Wynne, of Ardmore, Pa.

Jason Myers, a student at Ferrell Elementary School in Picture Rocks, was the state winner of the “Invent America!” Contest. He had won first place at the local “Invention Convention” which was held at Ashkar Elementary last March. The young inventor’s winning idea was a “Tree Tender”, which is a permanent Christmas decoration used to easily water your Christmas tree.
Jennie Aunkst was honored by Northern Central Bank for 35 years of service to their bank.
