Rollin C. Smith, of L.S. Smith & Son, and Miss Annie Wagner, are in New York City this week, purchasing an entire new stock of goods for their new store rooms, which they will occupy about the middle of October.
Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Hartwick, who have been residing in Bedford, Pa., arrived in Muncy the past week and will take up their residence in the house of John P. Brewer, on North Washington St., which he has vacated, moving his family to Williamsport.

One of the latest physicians of Lycoming County to respond to the Government call to the colors is Dr. James R. Rankin, who has been commissioned First Lieutenant. Dr. Rankin on Monday received orders to report at one of the medical raining camps, and left yesterday for his assignment.
Died: Mrs. Mary Mahala Brungard died at her home on West Penn Street, Sunday afternoon, after sa sort Illness, aged forty years.
Hilbert Houseknecht, who has been in the Pacific Coast states for the past year, is the guest of his mother, Mrs. L.L. Houseknecht.
James Cuddy is new night operator at the Bell Telephone exchange, in place of Miss Rita Hill, who has secured a position with Sprout, Waldron & Co.

Fall on Cellar Steps-Fatal to Two Persons-Harvey Dimm, 82, of Williamsport, formerly of Muncy, died at 7:25 o’clock Tuesday evening at the Williamsport Hospital where he was taken in the morning after being seriously injured in a fall down the cellar steps at his home. Mrs. Carrie M. Richards, 71, of North Main Street, died lat Saturday night at the Williamsport Hospital of injuries received in the morning when she fell while working at her home.
Grant William Taylor, 15, of Highland Lake, and a freshman in the Picture Rocks HIgh School was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by an auto as he stepped back from a parked car on South Main Street in front of his grandmother’s home.
Miss Marion E. Poust and Harold G. West, both of this place, were united in marriage Saturday morning.
Mrs. Ellen Reese, of Montgomery, has announced the marriage of her daughter, Dorothy, to Mr. LaRue Banghart, on Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Reed and family have moved into the Diefenderfer property at the corner of Second Street and Broadway, Hughesville.
