Thursday, Oct. 12, 1905

On last Thursday, Mrs. D.W. Buffington killed a young rattlesnake in her back yard. There was no mistake in deciding the species of the snake. Mrs. Buffington has it preserved in alcohol.

A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shoemaker, on WEst PEnn St., last evening, when their daughter, Miss Alice, was united in marriage to Mr. Frederick Bryan, of Williamsport.

Several of our citizens have received invitations to the marriage of Margaret R. Barr and William C. Ducy, to take place at Washington, D.C., on Oct. 17. Miss Barr was a frequent visitor in Muncy.

Brady Snyder, of the Post Office force, was the recipient of two fine testimonials from is fellow employees before he left for Camp Hancock last wee. POstmaster Wood presented him with a fine safety razor, and the clerks and carriers with a wrist watch.

Craig M. Kift, of Muncy, and Miss Anna Vida Sayre, of Pennsdale, were married at the altar in PIne Street Methodist Church in Williamsport, Oct. 10th. The happy could will reside in Muncy, where the groom has a position with E.M. Confer, the grocer.

Born: To Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Pfleegor, on Friday, a son.

Robbers entered the store of The Edwards Hardware Co., on West Water street, Friday night, and stole several automobile tires and about ten dollars in cash.

First showing of the New 1940 Chevrolet will be made Saturday, October 14, 1939, in the showroom of Brewer Bros. Garage, South Main Street, in conjunction with the initial nation-wide display of this popular low-priced car.

Married: Wiley Cameron Musser and Miss Anna Rebecca Dim were united in marriage at the Parsonage of the Muncy Methodist Church, Wednesday evening, Oct. 11.

Lynn R. Houseknecht, of Muncy, and Roxie G. McBride, of Hughesville, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon.

Willard C. Hazen and Miss Marvel Bausinger, both of Williamsport, were united in marriage Saturday evening.

Larry Lauchle, who continues to bring the name of Muncy into the international limelight with his great wrestling prowess, has advanced one more important step along the path to a return trip to the Olympic games his fall in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Boston, daughters Pamela and Ruth, Picture Rocks, were recent guests of the formers daughter, Mrs. Ronald Montgomery and family at Mechanicsburg.
