Died-At her home in this borough on the 14th inst., Miss Elizabeth Huckell, after an illness of one week. In Muncy Creek township, on the 15th inst., Joshua Taggart in the 77t year of his age.
The Messrs. Burrows, of Picture Rocks, are building a large hotel at Eagles Mere, which will be crowned with a cupola.
Dr. H.N. Laird now gives gas for the painless extraction of teeth, having brought home from Philadelphia a most improved apparatus for the purpose.
A veritable temperance war is raging in Hughesville, between those for and against license.

By the upsetting of his wagon at Stevens’ tannery, Sullivan county, Irvin Schoch received a painful injury to his back.
A.D. Foucart has just received a fine marine chronometer, by which our citizens will be able to have their watches regulated to the closest precision possible.
The Muncy String band paid School Director-elect Wells the complement of a serenade Wednesday night.

Mrs. Catharine Schock, wife of Edward Schock, died at the family home at Port Penn, last evening, aged 22 years.
Among the deeds recently recored at the Register and Recorder’s office at Williamsport were the following from this end of the county: Horace Gold to Jacob E. Shook, property in Clarkstown; consideration $600. Deed dated Sept. 7, 1917. Jacob E. Shook to E. Clark Wallis, property in Clarkstown; consideration $450. Deed dated Feb. 11, 1918.

The circus is coming to Muncy next week. The circus is the traveling show of James Cole’s all-star Circus and it is being sponsored here by the Muncy high school band parents association.
The retirement last week of J. Rollin Ebner brought to an end the public career of a man who at 88 has been a fixture in Muncy for most of that time, contributing greatly to its welfare.
