A revival in the Baptist church terminated in the immersion of nine persons in the river on Sunday, Dc. 31, by Rev. T. M. Shanafelt.
Some excitement has prevailed in Plunketts Creek township, this county, at the discovery of what is believed to be coal oil, on the property known as Ross & Whipple, the oil being gathered from a spring in a corner of a cellar dug out during the summer.
Married-At St. James Rectory, John H. Moyer and Isabella Ellis, both of Delaware township.

While driving home from Milton Tuesday afternoon, John Andrews’ team ran away, throwing him out and injuring him quite badly.
Samuel McClain, son of H.B. McClain, of Muncy Creek township, fell down a shaft 185 feet deep, at a coal mine at Scranton, on Friday and died from his injuries.

Married-Ralph E. Cornelison, of this place, and Miss Amelia R. Willig, of Williamsport, were married on Wednesday evening of last week; Brady F. Ritter and Miss Louise Berlharz, both of Moreland township, were married on Dec. 23rd; William H. Fritz and Florence Taylor were married on Dec. 23rd.
Died: Frantz Miller died Friday at his home at Fairfield Center, aged 76 years.
Harry Robb, who will take charge of the “Mingo Farm” new town, this spring, was among those who purchased a fine team of draft horses at the sale of Lore & Corson on Tuesday.
Howard Ritter of Lairdsville shot 17 coons, 1 gray fox, and 1 red fox this season.
