Rev. J. M. Shanfelt, of the Baptist church, this borough, has brought to a close a successful series of revival meetings at Picture Rocks. There were 50 conversions and 15 persons baptized by immersion in the creek.
The White Deer Bridge company advertises for proposals for repairs to the White Deer bridge.
Thomas Wood, M.D., advertises a public sale at his farm in Muncy Creek township, on March 16.

Married-In Muncy, on Thursday, March 4, H.G. Lichtenthler and Miss Gussie Sprout.
Died-At her residence in Port Penn, March 5, Miss Elizabeth Watson, aged 69 years.
Friday of last week w had an old fashioned snow storm, a foot of snow falling.
Last Saturday night the greater part of the state hospital for the insane at Danville was destroyed by fire, causing a loss of about $400,000. The five hundred patients were all removed in safety.

The second annual banquet of the Muncy post office employees was held at the Commercal hotel Thursday evening. Lester D. Sedam acted as toastmaster and many responses were made. A number of Edison diamond disc victrola selections were enjoyed by those present.
Augustus Fry and sons, of near Pennsdale, have delivered 2,000 railroad ties to Halls for J.R. Glass, of Muncy.
J.L. Michael, of Pennsdale, is building a big barn and straw shed near Overland, Maryland, for a farmer in that section, who said he wanted a Pennsylvania barn, and that the best way to get it was to have a Pennsylvania workman to build it.
The new butcher shop-now open for business-of “Robert S. Brass, in the Foucart building, Main street, is a model of sanitary convenience.
Died: Clyde Worthington died at Bethlehem on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness, death being due to diphtheria. He was 43 years of age; Mrs. Charles Wesley Spring, of Lairdsville, died suddenly Monday afternoon at her home.

David Wallis, of Muncy, and three naval reservists from Montgomery-all members of Surface Division 459 will leave within the next few days for two weeks of active duty aboard ships cruising in the Atlantic Ocean.

Young David Ferrell began his first teaching assignment as instructor in speech and drama at Wayland College, Texas.
