S.W. Jones, having purchased the old Union hotel, and fitted up a portion of it into a handsome storeroom, has opened up a stock of seasonable dry goods.
Dan Rice, with his interesting school of educated animals and unrivaled circus, will be here on May 26.
Thursday last William Mackey, of Clinton township, found concealed on his farm several bags filled with buffalo robes, clothing, etc., no doubt another installment of the goods stolen by the hand of thieves, which was discovered and broken up last winter.

A meeting of tobacco growers was held at the Crawford House last Saturday evening and resulted in the formation of a “tobacco exchange,”
The Banner pronounces A.H. Gudykrust the handsomest juror at court this week.
Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Everett were in town last week. They are well pleased with their farm about a mile from Huntersville.
Shipments of tobacco from the West Branch valley last year exceeded two million pounds.

Died: Charles W. Stead, Shuman, died at his home on Wednesday morning after an illness of several weeks.
On April 29 wedding of Howard E. Kurtz, Turbotville, and Grace E. Sharrow, Muncy.
Thomas Walize, former Muncy resident, was killed instantly Saturday morning while cleaning windows in the boiler shop.
