Married-At the residence of the bride’s mother, in Muncy Creek township, on the 28th ult., W. Geasey and Miss Kate Ritter.

The following are the officers of the Muncy Bridge Company: President, Joseph Gudykunst; treasurer, Henry Johnson; managers, E. Lyon, Jas. M. Bowman, John M. Bowman, Thos. Wood, S.D. Shoemaker, R. Bruce Montgomery.

The M.E. Sunday school has elected the following officers: Superintendent Charles Figles; assistant, J.A. Ward; secretary, A.E. Barnes; librarian, E.I Pealor.

The exercises at the Union Rink on Saturday night were very interesting. The one mile race between Bruce Smith, Frank Baker and Howard Corson was won by Howard in 4 minutes and the one mile race between Ralph Ritter and Harry Corson was won by the latter in 3 1/2 minutes. Howard Corson challenges any boy of his age for the championship of the county.

The Masonic banquet at the Muncy Valley House Saturday night was a brilliant affair, about sixty being present,

Clarence E. Sprout, of the University Law School, has been spending the holidays at home.

The recruiting party for the U.S. Army, with the offices located in the Post Office building at Williamsport, are touring their district of the counties, and Tuesday they visited Muncy, distributing the U.S. Army advertising matter.

A.H. Gudykunst, who for a number of ears has conducted a hardware store in this place, will retire from active business life April 1st.

The new projecting machine at the opera house was used for the first time Thursday evening an gave excellent results.

Announcement is made of the marriage of E. Lloyd Rogers, assistant county superintendent of the Lycoming county schools, and Miss Verna Mouer, of Detroit, Mich. The ceremony was performed at noon Wednesday.

Died:Mrs. Annie Beal died at her home on West Penn street last night of pneumonia, aged sixty-nine years; George Kepner died at his home in Hughesville on Saturday after a long illness, aged 69 years.

Tuesday morning employees of this office found a caterpillar taking a stroll among the ice and snow in the rear of the office. This larva of a lepidopterous seemed unconcerned as to the weather.

Grim Reaper Gathered 34 During 1916-two were aged 96 years.

A/3C Larry L. Lowe, stationed with the Military Airlift Command at Travis AFB, Calif., will spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Lowe, of Muncy.

Miss Sandra Florent, of Muncy, engaged to Jerry L., Fairment, of near Watsontown.
