Died: In Muncy Creek township, Charles F. Johnson, aged 68 years.

Wm. Coder is clerk at the new Parker House.

The school board at a recent meeting resolved to enter suit to regain possession of that part of the up-town school lot now fenced up.

A flagstone pavement has been put down in front of the Muncy Valley House.

Joshua Bowman and Horace Alright shot the first wild goose of the season on Monday.

Charles Kelchner moved last week from his farm in Muncy Creek township to the new house which he recently erected on West Water street.

Mrs. R. A. Van Buskirk has moved her millinery store down in the room just north of Noble & Peterman’s.

The Republican League is raising funds for the furnishing of a club room and President Gray reports that many are subscribing liberally.

M. Wilse Kelchner has been added to the corps of teachers in the public schools.

Ralph J. Smith, of L.S. Smith & Sones, is away on a lumber trip.

County Farm Agent Plans Big Contests-Boys’ and Girls’ Corn Clubs, the Potato Club and the Pig Feeding Club

Sudden Death of T. J. Rauch, Muncy, Saturday Last-Heart Trouble Was Cause of His Passing Away at Age of Seventy-five years.

Died-Margaret Rickolt, relict of Frederick Rickolt, died at her home on East Penn street, Wednesday morning of pneumonia.

One hundred and forty cans, containing 140,000 trout fry, consigned to J. Howard Ritter, Lairdsville, passed through here Friday.

Invitations have been received here to the wedding of Miss Edith May George to Edwin Robert Olds, which will take place at Olean, N.Y., on Wednesday evening, April 25.

Miss Jean Hessler has been named winner of the Muncy high school competition in the annual essay contest on the subject of “Hire The Handicapped”.

Miss Esther Egli, of Muncy, and J. Rodney Houseknecht , Hughesville, exchange vows March 18 in Mapleton Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stover and daughters Lyulee and Blythe, of PIttsford, N.Y., will be weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Stover.

Lark Pfleegor and Robin Barto each took first places and then teamed with Dorothy Evans to win the medley relay event to highlight the performance of Muncy entries in the girls swimming league championships.
