Married-At Wayne camp-meeting, on the 26th ult, Charles Corson and Miss Mary Bickel, both of Muncy.
Died: In Muncy township, Aug. 30, infant son of Cyrus Long; In Muncy borough, Aug. 30, Amos Croman, aged 44 years; In Muncy township, Jesse P. Haines, aged 85 years.
The Sunday school connected with the M.E. Church held their usual annual picnic at Miss Hall’s woods last Wednesday.
Benjamin Pott will put down a novel sidewalk in front of his property on Main street.

Died-In Muncy Creek township, Aug. 28, Sarah J., wife of Robert Barr, aged 48 years.
The Presbyterian Sunday school picnicked at Tivoli on Wednesday. They went up on a special train at 8 o’clock.
The boards announcing the names of the streets have been put up by Mr. A.L. Waterman on the street corners. Our citizens should be careful to see that the right names of the streets are hereafter used, viz: Penn street should be called by that name and not Cemetery street as formerly.

Two human lives and that of eleven horses was the toll taken by a severe electrical storm Sunday afternoon at the farm of Alina Robbins, about one and one-half miles east of Muncy. At the same time another barn about one-half mile away was also struck and burned, together with its contents. The first bolt struck a large tree on George Dimm farm; the second struck the barn on the property of Mrs. Jacob Derr. Almost at the same time the barn on the Robbins farm was struck, resulting in the death of two men, George Eichenlaub, aged 28, and Edward Poust, and 11 horses.
Rollin Ritter is one of the Muncy boys who has gained great honors in the service of the U.S. and especially in the aviation branch receiving four honors.
A.M. Fahenstock, the tailor, moved his tailoring establishment from over the Muncy Banking company to the opera house block where he will occupy the room formerly used as a hardware store by A.H. Gudykunst.
Died: William Gray, a veteran of the Civil War, and who is very well known in Muncy, died at his residence in Coburn, Aug. 30.
Married: Della Charlotte Smith to Carroll E. Lake on Wednesday, Sept. 5. The groom is a son of the late Charles Lake and Mrs. Edith Lake, and was born in Muncy.
Born: On Friday, to Mr. and Mrs. Russel Fritz, a son.
