The Lutheran Sunday school and congregation picnic today at Hall’s woods. The Muncy Cornet band will furnish music.

Green and Merrill, the former champion quoit pitchers, lost the belt Wednesday in a contest with McCarty and Gernerd.

Stokes, the inimitable, is announced as the commander of a grand dress parade at the fair of the Hughesville Farmers’ club.

The Y.MC.A. reading room over Rissel’s store, having been closed during the heated term, will son be reopened to the young men of town.

Died-At the residence of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Beeber, in Muncy Creek township, on Sept. 14. Miss Alice Beeber, aged 34 years.

Bacon is selling at ten cents and ham at the same price.

Unforeseen obstacles have caused the comrades of John D. Musser Post, G.A.R., to abandon the camp fire which they were to hold in Soars’ grove next week.

Immense Parade In Honor Of Drafted Men-Muncy Was Well Represented by Junior Mechanics and Other Orders

A group of young people held a corn roast at Eglie’s woods along the Susquehanna on Friday evening.

Died: Jacob Rickolt died at his home on South Main street on Tuesday morning, aged 68 years; Margaret Burrows Rogers, died at the home of her daughter on Friday last, aged 73 years; James Rynearson died Sunday evening at the home of his brother; Ray F. Wendel, aged 35 years, died at his home in Watsontown Saturday morning of tuberculosis.

PA Bandmasters Festival to be Held in Muncy Next May
