Snow fell for several hours at Lewis’ Lake on Monday.

Edward Lyon had about 500,000 feet of hemlock logs in Muncy Creek below Biddle’s bridge and was putting up a portable mill on the farm of Dr. Michael Steck, to cut them, when the recent high water came and almost all the logs went into the river.

Chestnuts are unusually plenty this year. A gentleman from Unityville Saturday informs us that he saw 75 bushels in a store at that place.

A memorial window to the memory of the late Rev. E.B. Raffensperger, D.D., will be placed in the Presbyterian church shortly.

T.K. Stofflet was the only Muncy man in the railroad wreck on the Philadelphia & Erie railroad, two miles south of Williamsport Tuesday night, and he was not hurt.

The boys of our fire company think Muncy borough ought to lay down a board walk on High street from Market street to the engine house, and also erect a street lamp in front of the building.

Letter from Brady Snyder, now at Southern Training Camp with the National Army-Warm Weather at Camp Hancock says Muncy Man.

Erma Pursel, aged 10 years, a daughter of Jacob Pursel, of Watsontown, was instantly killed at the SEventh street crossing of the Pennsylvania railroad Sunday evening.

Genie Middlesworth, a respiratory technician at Muncy Valley Hospital, received the hospital’s quarterly C.O.O. Award for Outstanding Employee.

“Tale of a Dragon’s Tail” is just one of Bruce STorms’ works of art which will be part of his one-man show at the B & S Gallery in Williamsport.

Seaman Apprentice Seth H. Miller graduated from the Coast Guard Training Center at Cape May, NJ on Aug. 28. Seth is a 1992 graduate of Muncy High School.
