Walter Diltz, of Lairdsville, is in the Williamsport city hospital suffering from wounds, the result of gunning accident near his home on Friday afternoon. He was accidentally shot by Ralph Reed, his hunting companion.
Those desiring to contribute to the Soldiers’ Tobacco Fund may leave their money at Kenneth Grange’s drug store. Every 25 cents means a lot of enjoyment to the boys that are somewhere in France.
Mrs. Thomas Wood gave a Halloween party Thursday afternoon in honor of her daughter, Fannie.
Died: William Brown Smith died at his residence on West Penn Street yesterday morning after an illness of several months, aged 80 years; Mrs. Charlotte Green Bacon, a former resident of Muncy, passed away Oct.. 18 at her home in Newberry; Word has been received her of the death of Ehrman C. Dykins at the National Soldiers’ home, Kas, aged 69 years; Mrs. Mary E. Barker died at the home of her son in law, Frank H. Heilman, near town, on Sunday, aged 69 years.

Dr. James Cooper of Swarthmore died Oct. 18. He had practiced medicine for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife Frances Crawley, of Picture Rocks and a married daughter, Ann.
Airman Scott D. Zerbe, whose guardians are Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Dunn, of Muncy, has completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Tex.

Bill Bird, of Muncy, was the first voter at the first precinct polling place in Muncy Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. Mr. Bird has been “first” at the “first” since 1961.
Cam Scholvin, a 1990 graduate of Muncy High School, is currently one of the three starting quarterbacks for the Princeton Tigers football team.
Montgomery’s Elizabeth Jean Bower was crowned the Homecoming Queen and Stevie-Lee Hecknauer was crowned princess.
