The residence of George Roberts, North Main street, was entered b thieves last week.
Burglars tried to effect an entrance in the residence of Daniel Clapp on Monday night, but failed.

Sunday night was bitterly cold and Monday morning the river was frozen clear across down at Port Penn. That same morning Morris Colley skated on the canal from Port Penn up to the basin, although it had been freezing only a few hours.
On Saturday last President Cleveland appointed James H. Fulmer to be postmaster at Muncy.
E.B. STokes has raised the fare on his bus line to 15 cents or 25 cents round trip.

Wednesday morning, Dec. 5, a pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Opp, when their daughter, Effie Ann, was united in marriage to C. Frank Hoyer, of Md.
Charles H. Sheddy and Mrs. Annie Blue, both of Muncy, were married Wednesday afternoon.
Born: A daughter to Mr. and Mrs. George W. Banzhof on Dec. 10.
Died: Romanus L. Long, Muncy Creek township, died Thursday at the age of 77 years; William W. Wertman, Muncy, died Saturday at the age of 79, George Horton, Tenn., Wednesday, aged 71 years.

As a kickoff to National Drunk and Drugged Driving Month, red ribbons were tied to all of the school buses owned by Brelsford Motors in Muncy.

Airman Kara L. Derrick has graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base.
