Married-Near Muncy, Dec. 20, 1877, Wm W. Hart, Esq., of Williamsport and Miss Fanny Lloyd Montgomery, of Muncy.

Died-At Hall’s Station, Sunday morning, the 16th inst., Russel Bodine, only son of W.C. and M.B. Painter, aged 16 months.

The hennery of Elijah Green, Esq., was robbed Christmas eve.

Several citizens residing on North Main street have placed lamp posts in front of their houses.

This has been a remarkably mild winter thus far. A Lime Ridge dandelions and field flowers are in full bloom.

The watch repairing shop of John S. Dykins, on South Main street, was entered by burglars on Saturday night. Two watches and two pairs of spectacles were taken.

This evening the Bear Run Hunting Party will give a game supper at the Union rink, when turkey, venison, rabbits, pheasants, and all the concomitants will be served

Married-On Thursday evening, Dec. 17, H.M. Myers, of Williamsport, and Miss S. Ameilia Painter,

E.S. Herbert, who has been the organist at the Presbyterian church ever since the organ was put in, has resigned and will leave shortly for PIttsburgh where he will practice law.

Judge Harvey W. Whitehead ha appointed Evan Russell, R.K. Reeder and W. Monroe Houseknecht as a board of viewers in answer to petitions for bridges in Moreland and Penn townships.

Mrs. Mehitable Van Buskirk, aged 85 years, died at Picture Rocks Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.P. Gague.

Hannah A. Bellig, aged 68 years, died in Hughesville Tuesday.

Former President William H. Taft delivered a most excellent address in Williamsport Saturday afternoon in the interest of the Red Cross membership drive in this county.

Fire of unknown origin shooting flames hundreds of feet in the sky and sending a pyre of smoke nearly a mile into the air completely destroyed the barn on the property known for many as the Mingo farm just west of Muncy Creek bridge late Sunday afternoon.
