100 years ago

Frank Keefer, Sunbury, and who is well known in Muncy, was probably fatally injured Friday afternoon when he fell from the Queen City express, one of the fastest rains operated by the Philadelphia and Reading railroad near Womelsdorf.

No further draft call will me made before Feb. 15.

George B. Fredericy, of Williamsport,must face a charge of bigamy at Lock Haven, where, a few days ago he married Miss Margaret Mae Rockey; relatives of whom have caused his arrest, claim that he already had a wife residing here.

Grim Reaper Gathered 47 During 1917.

Mary A. Reed, aged 64, Lairdsville, was fatally burned at her home sometime Tuesday afternoon.

Sergeant Charles Womer of this place and Miss Mae Lillian Wurster, Williamsport, were married last evening a few hours before Sergeant Womer took a train to return to camp.

John Baker, while assisting in cutting ice on the river at Port Penn, suffered a stroke of paralysis Wednesday morning near by.

Died: C. N. Molyneaux died Thursday morning after a lingering illness, aged 63 years.

George Nickell, 84, was fond frozen to death near Hartleton, Union County Friday night.
