Messrs. DeHaas & Brother are building a very fine carriage for Edward Marshall, of Philadelphia. When completed the vehicle will be worth looking at.

E.B. Dreisbach has opened a salesroom for the Singer sewing machine, in the store of M.S.

The Brady Monument fund has reached a total of $900.58.

Potatoes are selling for 35 cents a bushel. Eggs are 16 cents doz.

Died: In this borough, January 28, Mrs. Catharine Peterman, wife of F.S. Peterman, after an illness of less than a week.

James W. Bair, who has been chief clerk at the Muncy Valley House for several years, has leased the Clarkstown Hotel from John P. Shoemaker and will take charge of that old stand on April 1st.

Beginning with the spring term Miss Sallie Rankin will have charge of the musical department of the Muncy Normal School. She succeeds Miss Anna Gibson at the Normal.

Muncy’s Mike Gaydon received the game ball after scoring his record-breaking basket at the South Williamsport game. Gaydon surpassed the school record of 1,323 points set by Mark Miller in 1976.
