Lost -On Tuesday last, William Trump, lost a roll of notes containing $175 or $180, somewhere in this Borough, or between the Borough and his home in the Muncy Hills. He offers a reward of $25 for the recovery of the money.

Citizens interest in a Farmers’ Club, are requested to meet at the Brick School house, in the Brough of Hughesville, on Tuesday evening of this week.

Married-At McEwensville, North’d county, on the 23d inst., J.F. Thompson of Centre County and Miss Francina Walton, of Union county, formerly of this place.

Died-In Muncy Creek twp., on the 21st inst., Mr. Peter Wendle.

ON Tuesday morning of last week many of the descendants of the late Samuel H. and Elizabeth L. Clark met at the residence of Henry R. Clark on West Water St., to enjoy a family reunion.

The front of Gowers and Son’s Cash Bargain House, has been greatly improved by a new coat of paint.

Harry Stevens and Louis Sprout returned home Saturday evening from Lafayette College, Easton.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hawley of Northumberland and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Painter over Sunday. Mr. H. reports business as being very dull in Northumberland this summer owing to the fact that the large nail mills are not running.

A very pretty wedding occurred on June 26 when Miss Charlotte Nixon, of East Water St. became the bride of Lt. William Durkee of Williamsport.

Arlene West, Picture Rocks and S/Sgt. Harold Reuther, Muncy were united in marriage on June 26.

Gertrude Johnson, Muncy, and Guy Burkhart, Huntersville, were united in marriage on June 26.

Evelyn Kepner, Muncy, and John H. Gray, Hughesville, were married Saturday evening.

William Zarr, 74, a Muncy, died at his home on June 30.

Harry D. Dimm, aged 62, died at his home at Green Street on June 27.

First Sgt. Larue Ritter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ritter, Muncy R.D. has received the Silver Star medal while fighting in Tunisia.

Pennsdale-The son born to Mr. and Mrs. Galen Allen of Wino Farm at the Williamsport Hospital, June 20, has been named Stephen Mark.

Paul B. Houseknecht, aged 49, Hughesville, died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday.

Miss Annette Weaver brought recognition and a furry of fame to both her home town of Picture Rocks and Hughesville High school, where she was an outstanding graduate recently, by being named Queen of the 27th annual Pennsylvania State Laurel festival at Wellsboro over the weekend.

Robert Ebner of Muncy will embark soon on a most interesting summer vacation trip to Aflrica-Returning just in time to get settled for a teaching position he recently accepted in the Loyalsock Township school system.

Miss CandaceLynn Feigles of Muncy will study or work overseas this summer under the college’s Keuka World-Emphasis Service program.

John H. Reuther, Muncy postmaster, this week received notification of his promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve effective June 15, 1968.

Last Friday was the longest day of the year, the first day of summer, and the coldest June day (low in the 40’s) we’ve had in a long decade.

United Methodist church of Montgomery was setting for the wedding on June 21 of Miss Glenda Cheryl Crist, Montgomery and David C. Laubach of Benton.

Miss Linda Wiser, Muncy, and Mr. Wingstrom were married on June 16 in Illinois.

Engagement announced of Miss Jane Brady to 1st Lt. Daniel G. Wilke of Hughesville.
