Burglars entered the Eaker garage on North Main Street, last Thursday morning about two o’clock and made away with two shotguns, a revolver, over 1000 shells for the arms, and a quantity of automobile accessories, the amount of which cannot be estimated.

Miss Elma Reiter who underwent an operation about two months ago has entirely recovered and has again taken up her duties as clerk in the Downing and Company store, where she will be glad to meet all her friends,

Frank S. Capp died at his apartment in the Wittmer at Williamsport, Tuesday afternoon, after an illness of several months.

Harry L. Crawford, one of the proprietors of the Crawford Hotel, was found dead in bed Wednesday morning. Death was due to an attack of acute indigestion.

A picnic was held at the Little Gap Hunting Lodge by the members and their families on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kleese and son, P.F.C. Ralph and Miss Margaret McGinnis of Williamsport called at the home of H.O. Kleese on Sunday.

Miss Janet and Patricia Nunn spent the weekend with their Aunt, Margaret Nunn at Montoursville.

Ethel and Paul Wallis of Picture Rocks, spent last week with Mrs. Hattie Wallis.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith and children of Muncy spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lovell.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 5 for Mr. Nelson Gray, aged 84, Hughesville, who died at his home on Third St., Sept. 2.

Lt. Robert Myers, Hughesville, has returned to his post in Sebring, Fla., after spending a short furlough here with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Morgan were called to Oneida, N.Y. last week by the death of their son, Reginald Morgan.

Misdemeanor charges of malicious mischief and damaging public property will be lodged against the drivers of the two cars believed to have been responsible for the defacing of the lawn in front of the Muncy high school building early Saturday morning.

The engagement of their daughter Shirley to H. William Boatman, Jr., of Picture Rocks, has been announced by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Confer, Hughesville.

Airman Bruce L. Sones, USN, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Sones, Muncy, is serving aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS America in the Gulf of Tonklin off the coast of North Vietnam.

Sgt. Roland E. Whitmoyer has been discharged from the service after four years of active duty.

Sprout, Waldron & Company Inc. has announced the appointment of three area residents to new positions with the firm. They are Kenneth R. Sterrett, of Pennsdale; John Fischer, Williamsport, and Fred K. Kramer, Montoursville.
